Daniel Yun

Chairman and Managing Partner

Daniel Yun is the Founder and Chairman of Belstar Holdings and Chairman and member of the Executive Committee of EMP Belstar Superfreeze. Mr. Yun is based in New York and is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the firm. Since 1998, Belstar has successfully managed more than $5 billion over seven investment vehicles. Prior to founding Belstar, Mr. Yun worked at Goldman Sachs and Lehman Brothers in the fixed income divisions in New York. Mr. Yun attended the United States Military Academy at West Point. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army and served as a company commander in S. Korea. While in the U.S. Army, he became Airborne and Air Assault qualified. Mr. Yun obtained a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma. He has been an active Advisory Board Member at RAND Centre for Asia Pacific Policy since 2000.
