Tom Drelles is a Partner at Belstar, primarily responsible for operational oversight of the firm and its investments. Prior to joining Belstar, Mr. Drelles was a Managing Director FMS Wertmanagement (and the former Hypo/DEPFA Group) performing roles such as originating, managing, restructuring, and servicing debt and derivative products in a variety of asset classes including infrastructure, energy, and asset finance. He was previously a Managing Director in HSBC's emerging market currencies and debt business in New York and an SVP serving as a trader and manager of Lehman Brothers' emerging markets fixed income and derivatives business in New York and Hong Kong. From 1986 to 1992 Mr. Drelles was a Director of Morgan Grenfell Ltd. working from New York, London, and Hong Kong structuring and executing cross border business transactions. Mr. Drelles started his career in finance in the equity research department of Salomon Brothers Inc. and received a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
